So what’s a sure stop??
Surestop is a water shut-off valve designed to safeguard properties from the risk of water damage. Unlike traditional brass stopcocks, Surestops turn your water off with the push of a button, and it’s as easy as flicking a light switch off. The switch itself can be located in an easy to reach accessible location. So no more dragging the washing machine out to try and turn off a seized up old brass stop tap… yep we’ve been there far too many times. The sure stop works by water pressure when you press the button the pressure closes a valve that’s fitted to the pipework generally this valve is to be fitted as close to the existing stop tap as possible, and a plastic cable that has small micro bore pipes in it connects the valve to the switch. We tend to locate the switch on the inside of a kitchen cupboard or a convenient place for the customer.

Like us our customers love the convenience of a surestop to turn their water off. We have landlords that ask us to fit them and label it so tenants know exactly how to turn the water off incase of emergency. We’ve also installed them in Commercial settings, that have a high turnaround off staff. Obviously our elderly customers and family really like the security of knowing how simple they are to turn off in the case of an emergency water leak.

We highly recommend the sure stop stop tap, our plumbers have installed 100s across Birmingham now with very few issues. Customers love them as an easy way of turning the water off in an emergency or none emergency situation. Simple to install and very low maintenance the sure stop is a brilliant addition to the home for water safety.
